Mental Health Services

Every year the school social work team (led by David Moreno, LCSW) provides counseling to over 300 students individually and in group. This is free service provided to the children of Pacoima Charter School. We help children cope with a variety of issues, including:

 

- Self Esteem

- Social Skills

- Grief & Loss

- Divorce and Separation

- Other Trauma

In the rare event that a student's needs exceed what we can support or if a family would prefer support outside of school, we will refer the families to mental health agencies.Here is a list of the agencies:
