December & January Event Summary!

We spent these months spreading joy to our students, families and greater community.

  • We had our 9th Annual Rock the Sock Campaign. Student from our school donated new pairs of socks to Centre Clothes Corner which is ran by the Volunteer League of the SFV. The agency in turn gave these socks to children who needed them along with other supplies they provide.
  • From our 3 year olds in Pre-K to our 5th Graders, we had all our students participate in our Holiday Sing Performance. Many proud parents in the crowd.
  • PLAC (our Parent Leadership Group) organized our Winter Wonderland Event. With the help of generous agencies and members of the community, each child in attendance received a free gift. We had a DJ and holiday themed activities.
  • PLAC as well as other school departments participated in the 50th Annual Pacoima Christmas Parade.
  • Parents had a chance to meet with the school psychologist during Coffee With The Principal Series.
  • Common Threads (an agency we partner with) spent sometime with our school staff educating them on healthy eating. We can pass along the positive message to our students as well as take better care of ourselves to continue our care for the children.
  • We were fortunate to have our LAUSD School Board Member Kelly Gonez visit our school.
  • Kids Community Dental Clinic and the Colgate RV came by our school. We had many of students screened for any dental issues as well as receiving preventative treatment.
  • Four of our kindergarten classes were able to go to the Getty Center.
  • Our very own STEAM Teacher, George Cordova had his first engineering competition. Students designed their own sail boat and competed for the fasted time.
