Pacoima Community Initiative

In the early 2000's, Pacoima Charter School realized that there was a lack of coordination amongst many wonderful community agencies. As a result, the principal at the time formed the Pacoima Community Initiative (PCI).

From 2004 to 2016,  PCI brought together community agencies, schools and government institutions to better the lives of those we serve by sharing resources and support.

The School Social Work Department of Pacoima Charter School revived this wonderful collaboration in April 2020. We already had a strong network of community partners that come together for our Annual Resource Fair (approximately 40 agencies present and 800 families attending) or as needs arise; however, we wanted to connect everyone to each other and keep our good work going all year long. We meet every first Friday of the month.
